Chennai Express as expected made its first record at the domestic box office. Collecting whooping 6.75 crores from its paid previews i.e. on Thursday, the film has kick started with an overwhelming income.Chennai Express, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has already began with a stellar business with its preview shows.

The film has beaten the previous records of 3 Idiots which held the best fare amongst the films with paid previews. 3 Idiots on its preview day made an earning of 2.75 crores which was so far the best collection record by any film on its preview day. The film has already beaten the flocks of those with good preview day box office numbers which also includes films like Kites that earned 1.75 crores, Aamir Khan’s Ghajini which raked up 1.65 crores, Jism 2 that made 1.40 crores and more recently Farhan Akhtar’s wonder film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which made 1.05 crores at the box office.
